You can develop a facilitation team or an individual. Investing in one person will allow you to collaborate with other organizations to co-host Opening Doors workshops. Developing a facilitation team will allow you to serve your organization in-house, as well as contract to serve others. The first graduating cohort (2007) of apprentices was sponsored by North Carolina State University, CALS. They have since facilitated over 20 Opening Doors for 5 universities. The Opening Doors Program was selected as a model for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) due in great part to how well it addresses the construct of oppression theory and the subsequent cycle of oppression. The training… serves to best address the long-term systemic change process. Personally, I have found no better tool to accomplish this level of understanding on these issues than Opening Doors.
