Creating Partnership Services

Creating Partnership

First phase of the Opening Doors Diversity Project’s organizational development approach:

1. Developing understanding and commitment

Members of the organization define partnership collectively. The following parameters guide the evolving definition: conscious inclusion of all dimensions of diversity, equivalent outcome across difference, and ongoing learning opportunities for staff and leadership. Implementation addresses system structures, management practices, professional development and resource selection connected to service delivery.

We will work with you as you lay the foundation for your partnership initiative. We will facilitate the sessions that allow you to sit with staff and build your definition as a team. We will provide you with the support you need to facilitate the on-going dialogue that deepens understanding and builds commitment.

2. Building knowledge and skills

3. Establishing partnership as a process of continual reflection, planning and growth

The partnership initiative has provided the basis for staff to take on more responsibilities and be more accountable. I am overjoyed during meetings when staff at all levels is voicing their opinions and thoughts on issues that effect this division. Not only are they expressing their thoughts, but they are listening to others without judging. This has improved the quality of our programs and results in overwhelming outcomes.
