Creating Partnership

Third phase of the Opening Doors Diversity Project’s organizational development approach:

3. Establishing partnership as a process of continual reflection, planning and growth

Once established as an operating philosophy, adjusting system structures, engaging in on-going learning and updating programs become a matter of course. No longer does “change” seem like an extra-ordinary effort, or is “change” seen as a departure from how things are done. Change is an evolving way of doing business that meets the needs at hand.

As guides of your partnership implementation process we will be available on an on-call basis to provide the external support necessary for the fully inclusive group processes that nurture and sustain partnership.

1. Developing understanding and commitment

2. Building knowledge and skills

The partnership initiative has provided the basis for staff to take on more responsibilities and be more accountable. I am overjoyed during meetings when staff at all levels is voicing their opinions and thoughts on issues that effect this division. Not only are they expressing their thoughts, but they are listening to others without judging. This has improved the quality of our programs and results in overwhelming outcomes.
